Clairaudience. Clairvoyance. Claircognizance.
Clairsentience. Clairolfactance. Clairgustance.
The Clairs.
Maybe you’ve never heard of them. Or maybe they are old hat to you.
Simply put, there are the physical senses we are all very familiar with — sight, sound, smell, touch, taste — and then there are the non-physical senses, the Clairs. There’s a counterpart to every physical sense, plus a few more. They are also sometimes called the psychic senses or the subtle senses.
But the interesting thing about the Clairs is that they are not just for psychics. They are for all of us.
When an artist “sees” an the composition of a painting or its color palette in their mind’s eye, and then recreates that in the physical plane, that’s clairvoyance (clear sight).
When a composer “hears” a melody in their head and writes a new song, that's clairaudience (clear hearing).
When you remember your grandmother's cookies, and it’s like you are smelling them or tasting them, that’s clairolfactance (“clear smelling”) and clairgustance (“clear tasting”).
When the very thought of someone turns your stomach, that’s clairsentience (“clear feeling”).
When you don’t know how you know something, but you just know, that’s claircognizance (“clear knowing”).
Why do they matter?
Well, understanding that something exists allows you to use it consciously. A first step in using your non-physical abilities is recognizing how they show up — and putting a name to them.
That image that flashed into your head out of nowhere? It’s a thing. (Clairvoyance.) It’s normal.
That strong gut feeling you have about a contract you’re about to sign? It’s not your imagination. It’s clairsentience.
There is power in naming something. (There’s also limitations that come from naming, but we’ll save that for another time.)
Having words to describe your experiences helps you make sense of them, and then expand on them.
Most people have one or two dominant clairs. I’m curious what you thing yours might be.
🔥 things I’m loving right now 🔥
I’m loving this concept of the Infinity Wave covered by a guest of Pam Gregory this week.
I’m also loving the gorgeous weather and the end of the school year milestones and celebrations. (Congratulations, Blythe!!)
Go out there and enjoy your week! And pay attention to those subtle senses. They are a link to your highest wisdom, and the more you notice them, the more they will make themselves known.
Love,
Jor
Love this Jor! Powerful knowledge! ❤️ I had only heard of a couple of these until now.
